Masks are no longer mandated for vaccinated individuals. The providers at Precision Family Medicine ask that you wear a mask into the office if you are sick. We recommend a mask if you are at high risk for illness. As a healthcare facility we are compelled to follow the best safety practices as outline by the CDC. Who is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Texas?
As of May 12, 2021 everyone 12 years of age and older is now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
The Texas Department of State Health Services has notified vaccine providers that they should begin to administer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to adolescents from 12 to 15 years old, in line with federal guidance. The notice comes after the Food and Drug Administration authorized the vaccine for adolescents on Monday, and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices today recommended it for that age group.
